Liyah’s journey into the volcanic highlands is only beginning, but the path ahead is already treacherous. As she climbs through the ashen wastelands, she stumbles upon something unexpected—a man, half-buried in soot and stone, his body broken and bleeding.
His name is Jarek, a warrior from a distant mountain clan, and though Liyah’s instincts tell her to be wary, the whispers of the Nexus urge her to act. Against her better judgment, she heals him, forging an unlikely alliance with a man who may hold secrets of his own.
But trust is a fragile thing, and the shadows of the past are never far behind. As the two make their way deeper into enemy territory, Liyah begins to question whether she has saved Jarek... or merely invited danger to walk beside her.
