While the city is only sinking by a few millimeters every year, experts say the shift could damage buildings and other infrastructure.

City Must Add 1,700 Crosswalk Signals To Help Blind, Visually Impaired People Under Judge’s Order: The plan is in response to a class action lawsuit filed in 2019. It requires the city to install more than 1,700 specialized signals over the next 10 years.

Food Network Chef Jeff Mauro Lost His Custom Chicago Jerseys 6 Years Ago. They’ve Finally Been Returned: The jerseys were given to Mauro over the years by the Cubs, White Sox and Blackhawks and hung on a wall of Mauro’s now-closed Pork & Mindy’s restaurant. Last week, he got a call from a lawyer who found them.

Bucktown’s Long-Neglected Shuffleboard Court Restored And Open To All: Volunteers have completed a yearslong process to refurbish the public court at Senior Citizens Memorial Park. Equipment is free to rent at the Holstein Park field house across the street.
