David welcomes Army veteran Elliot Gaskins to the Boots on the Ground Podcast.
Elliot, a proud Philadelphia native, answered the call of duty by enlisting in the Army as a fuel specialist. His journey saw him rise through the ranks, attend Officer Candidate School, and ultimately become a US Army Officer. Even through multiple tours in Iraq, Elliot's unwavering commitment to his duty and love for his country remained resolute.
Elliot's story doesn't end with his military service. He discovered a new mission amidst the Pacific Northwest, where he now calls home. Today, he channels his passion for service into his community, volunteering with the Seattle Platoon of The Mission Continues and actively participating in various Veteran Service Organizations (VSOs). Elliot's journey is a shining example of dedication, resilience, and the firm belief that veterans never stop serving.
We’re on a mission to connect veterans with under-resourced communities. Our programs deploy veteran volunteers to work alongside nonprofit partners and community leaders to improve educational resources, tackle food insecurity, foster neighborhood identity, and more. The Mission Continues’ vision is for all veterans with a desire to continue their service to be part of a movement to transform communities.
