The choices and behaviours that you engage in daily impact how your body functions as a system. For example, sugar triggers the release of dopamine in the brain – which feels good. But, over time, your dopamine system can get reset – resulting in dopamine levels that dip below the baseline and lead to sugar cravings. By taking care of your health – every day – your body and brain can be set up to thrive. Autophagy, for one, is a process of cellular housekeeping and your body’s way of cleaning out damaged cells.
