Sal and BT celebrated Pete Alonso's franchise record, with Sal passionately arguing that Alonso is exactly who the Mets need him to be: a consistent power hitter and the heart of the team. They challenged the Mets' front office, asking how they could possibly let their homegrown home run king walk away, especially after his strong performance this season.
