Sermon: The Power of the Holy Spirit...Part 2
Scripture: Acts 4:31 NIV
“After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.”
INTRODUCTION: Living boldly for Jesus is a result of Holy Spirit empowerment.
Point 1: Empowerment for Witness
- Scripture Reference: “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”” -Acts 1:8 NIV
Point 2: Miraculous Signs and Wonders
- Scripture Reference: “Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles.” -Acts 2:43 NIV
Point 3: Transformation of Lives
- Scripture Reference: “Then Ananias went to the house and entered it. Placing his hands on Saul, he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord—Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here—has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit.” Immediately, something like scales fell from Saul’s eyes, and he could see again. He got up and was baptized,” -Acts 9:17-18 NIV
CONCLUSION: The result of living in the power of the Holy Spirit is a transformed life.
