MP: Transport Group’s Hello, Dolly! in Concert @ Carnegie Hall, Monday, June 23, 2025
A cast of 30 Broadway stars, backed by a full 30-piece orchestra, will perform the show’s original orchestrations and Gower Champion’s iconic choreography were recreated and staged by Randy Slovacek. The evening was hosted by Lee Roy Reams, directed by Transport Group Artistic Director Jack Cummings III, and music directed by Joey Chancey with Hannah Oren serving as creative producer. Casting by Merri Sugarman, CSA. Transport Group’s concert series features favorite musical theatre scores presented with the original full-scale orchestrations sung by Broadway stars, and behind-the-scenes theatre lore of the original productions and creative teams.

PF: Machinal @ New York City Center Stage II, through July 13, 2025
This marks the inaugural production of New York Theatre Company.
Inspired by the infamous 1926 case of Ruth Snyder, a woman sent to the electric chair for murdering her husband, Machinal follows this woman’s rebellion against a world of crushing conformity—where passion, desperation, and defiance collide in a shocking act of violence. Nearly a century after its debut, this play remains a strikingly relevant meditation on gender, power, and the oppression of “the machine.”

PF: Prosperous Fools @ Theatre for a New Audience at Polonsky Shakespeare Center, through June 29, 2025
Starring and Written by Taylor Mac
Directed by Darko Tresnjak
Prosperous Fools, loosely inspired by Moliere’s Le Bourgeois gentilhomme, is a brilliant and courageous exploration of philanthropy and its hypocrisies, a retooled comedy of manners for an age with no manners. The setting is a Gala for a not-for-profit dance company. The time is the present. This production contains some adult language and sexually explicit action.

PF: Duke & Roya @ Lucille Lortel Theatre, through August 23, 2025
Jay Ellis (Top Gun: Maverick, Insecure) and Stephanie Nur (Lioness, 1883) ignite the stage in this gripping new drama about love, survival, and impossible choices. Discover the electrifying connection between Duke (Ellis), an international hip-hop artist, and Roya (Nur), a fearless Afghan interpreter, who find love in the unlikeliest of places: war-torn Kabul. As their worlds collide, they must navigate cultural divides, make personal sacrifices, and fight for their future in a world determined to keep them apart. Is their bond strong enough to survive?
Don’t miss DUKE & ROYA, the breathtaking play from acclaimed playwright Charles Randolph-Wright, directed by Warren Adams, with a cast that includes Olivier Award winner Noma Dumezweni (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Presumed Innocent) and Dariush Kashani (Oslo, The Band’s Visit). Produced by Tony® winners Laura Ivey and Janet Brenner, Smada Media and Get Lifted Film Co.’s Emmy® and Tony® winner Mike Jackson, Emmy® Award winner Ty Stiklorius, and EGOT winner John Legend, Naturi Naughton-Lewis and Take Two Entertainment, and Emmy® Award winning producer, actor and filmmaker Kerry Washington, Pilar Savone and their Simpson Street production banner.
Witness the power of this 11-week limited engagement production at New York’s historic Lucille Lortel Theatre. A story of love, identity, and resilience, DUKE & ROYA is a spellbinding theatrical event that is as thrilling as it is timely.
