Frank Rosenthal, founder of Phantom Jiu Jitsu Academy, is dedicated to bringing high level instruction to the Herndon, Virginia area. Frank Rosenthal is a Renzo Gracie Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt. Training the majority of his career at the Renzo Gracie Academy headquarters in New York City, he studied closely under the tutelage of John Danaher and competed for the infamous Danaher Death Squad. Frank also trained under the guidance of Doug Pelinkovic, while teaching at his academy, Renzo Gracie Bayside. Here, he gained valuable teaching experience as the resident black belt and developed curriculum for both the basic and advanced programs.

In 2021 Frank moved to Virginia to continue learning from UFC standout and Jiu Jitsu legend, Ryan Hall, as well as teaching at the iconic Fifty/50 Academy. He continues to train at Fifty/50, ever developing as an athlete and coach to bring students the most innovative approach to modern Jiu Jitsu. Phantom Jiu Jitsu Academy is a proud affiliate of Fifty/50.

Frank graduated in 2013 from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania with a B.S in Health and Physical education. He strongly weaves an academic approach to teaching Jiu Jitsu in order to effectively accommodate all learning styles. In sport Jiu Jitsu, Frank has competed on some of the biggest stages in the world and has built a successful reputation as a competitor.
