As a lawyer, scholar, author, and climate warrior, Alan Miller has repeatedly been in the room where it happened: where policies on climate change and ozone depletion have been made and negotiated – often making a difference. Starting with his contributions to the successful protection of the ozone layer in the late ‘70s, his career included directing a center on global environmental policy at the University of Maryland and 16 years in the World Bank supervising climate finance and participating in the global climate negotiations.
