The defendant in the Madeline Soto case, Stephen Sterns, continues to induce shock and display audacity in his jailhouse calls with his all-too accommodating parents, Chris and Debbie Sterns.
In more of the calls, we hear Stephen asking each time for another fifty bucks for his commissary account, and his dad seems to have no problem putting the money in the account. Keep in mind that the parents are also paying for the jailhouse calls. So now, they have an extra monthly bill for Stephen--although it's cheaper than paying for his car maintenance, gas, insurance and for his rent and food.
The parents also display what appears to be their complete faith in Stephen's story that he was not in the room when Madeline Soto died, and that he's being scapegoated for the crime by others. Take a listen as I break it all down and share key moments from various calls.
Jailhouse call audio from The Docket and Plunder.
