Many of us remember the original 1990 version of The Witches, starring Angelica Huston, and featuring to work of Jim Henson's creature shop, right? Well, 30 years have passed, and we have a new adaptation of the Roald Dahl children's book, this time coming courtesy of Robert Zemeckis, and starring Anne Hathaway as the Grand High Witch! So how does this adaptation about a young boy being turned into a mouse by a coven of children-hating witches measure up to the original 1990 film? We actually brought back one of our favorite recurring guests, Sarah Coleman, to do a deep dive into comparing the two films; what the remake adds, what it omits, and how it could have been quite a different film in another director's hands.
