More than 80 people have died in the devastating flooding in Texas. As the recovery process begins, many have expressed concern about the lack of early warnings from local and federal authorities. Texas officials said more than 850 people have been rescued in the deadly flooding.

Braeden Davis, 9, and his brother, Brock, 7, were attending Camp La Junta near the Guadalupe River when the raging floodwaters in Texas spread. They, along with their mother, Keli Rabon, spoke to "CBS Mornings."
In this week's "Dear David," Bryan Pedersen helps a teen driver replace her totaled car in Wyoming, while Vivaan and Sarang Sankrithi donate their chess winnings to help a child with a rare illness. Both acts reflect how kindness creates ripple effects.

Chef Hochan Jang and Prakash Karamchandani launched Balance Pan-Asian Grille with no money and no restaurant experience. Now they're feeding cities with microgreens grown just feet from the kitchen. Parvati Shallow, one of the most iconic "Survivor" contestants of all time, joins "CBS Mornings" to reflect on her reality TV journey and discuss her new memoir, "Nice Girls Don't Win."
