Maybe we should have seen this one coming...

Following two woeful performances against Kairat Almaty, Celtic turned in another dire display this afternoon as they played out an uninspiring goalless draw with Rangers at Ibrox.

It was a game low on quality and low on enjoyment as the sides cancelled each other out in the lunchtime kick off to leave us wondering just how it's all become so flat, so quickly.

Without doubt the lack of new blood in the side has played a part in the malaise we're currently witnessing and the hope now is that we'll see notable transfer activity in the next 24 hours - otherwise we could be set for a long season ahead.
