Clay Mowry is the CEO of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), a globally recognized space industry executive and lifetime AIAA Fellow. Before AIAA, his career spanned senior executive roles in commercial launch and satellite sectors, including Voyager Space, Blue Origin, and 15 years as president of Arianespace, Inc. He also founded the Satellite Industry Association (SIA).
Currently, Clay is also president of the International Astronautical Federation (IAF), the world’s leading space nonprofit, a volunteer role he holds through October 2025. Passionate about empowering the next generation, he mentors with the Brooke Owens Fellowship and is chairman emeritus of the Future Space Leaders Foundation. His impact has been recognized with multiple industry awards. He holds an MBA from Georgetown University and a bachelor's from Ohio Wesleyan University.
