There is confusion over the ceasfire between Israel and Iran announced by US President Donald Trump on his Truth Social account today. Iran's foreign minister saying that no ceasefire had been agreed. Iran retaliated against American strikes at the weekend by bombing a US airbase in Qatar. New Zealand's government has been walking a tightrope, careful to neither condemn the American and Israeli attacks, or condone them. Foreign Affairs Minister Winston Peters told the House the government will gather all the facts and hear all perspectives before making any judgements.
