This peace isn't logical by worldly standards. It steadies us when everything else is shaking. How can we experience this peace? The previous verse tells us to present our requests to God through prayer and thanksgiving.
When we do this, God's peace acts like a soldier standing guard over our hearts and minds, protecting us from anxiety and fear.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for offering us a peace that surpasses understanding. Teach us to bring our worries to You in prayer. Guard our hearts and minds with Your peace. Let us be a witness to others of the calm that comes from trusting You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
