The field of 68 teams for the 2025 NCAA Men's hoop tourney are out and yes, we have takes on the Monday Bracket Review editon of "College Basketball Coast to Coast!"
Host T.J. Rives returns with guests: insider Adam Zagoria of NJ.com, Chris Dobbertean of BloggingTheBracket.com and also, co-host Ari Russell checks in, as well.
T.J. and Adam discuss St. John's amazing run continuing with winning the Big East Tournament and garnering a #2 seed out West. But, just how tough is that bracket that has the likes of Florida, Texas Tech, Maryland, Memphis and Mizzou in it? They also talk the 'Power Coach Pod' in Providence as Bill Self's Kansas plays John Calipari's Arkansas in the opening round with the winner playing the Johnnies and Rick Pitino in game two.
Then, Chris is on board still trying to figure out how North Carolina got in the field with such an awful resume'? And, yes we "go there" on Carolina AD Bubba Cunningham being the head of the committee and his team gets in with only a single quad one win in front of teams like WVU and Ohio State that had six of them, for example. Chris also talks some seeding of teams, rightly or wrongly and makes some upset picks.
And, we hear from Ari also on the St. John's win Saturday night over Creighton, as he was there too. But, he also talks the top seeds (Auburn, Duke, Houston and Florida) and possible double digit seed upsets too.
