Patrick Mauger is a DPLG architect.

In 1999, he founded Architecture Patrick Mauger.

His first project, the Tourp cultural center in Normandy France, was named a Première Œuvre in 2002. That same year, the LVMH group commissioned him to design the Phillips Auctioneers auction house in New York. It is from this productions that he recounts in this Com d'Archi the 25-year history of his agency's projects: “The agency invents spaces that respond to new needs and are capable of adapting. For each project, interactive forums bring together users, the agency's architects and outside experts (scientists, historians, sociologists, philosophers...), to invent original solutions to the challenges of the commission.”

A focus: the Centre de Recherches Interdisciplinaires and Residence for Researchers project fits harmoniously into the Marais district, in the heart of Paris.

The reinforced typology of the 17th-century mansion and the rehabilitation of the 1930s building are enriched by the creation of a building with a contemporary style, asserting its environmental stakes...

Caroline Djuric et Mirco Tardio ont créé l'agence Djuric-Tardio en 2004, après avoir tous deux travaillé dans l'agence Chaix et Morel et les Ateliers Jean Nouvel. Ces efforts visent à promouvoir une ville frugale grâce à une « charte évolutive » qu'ils appliquent à l’échelle de leurs projets architecturaux et urbains. Cette charte permet de proposer des constructions à haute performance énergétique, tout en étant évolutives dans le temps et dans leur usage. Studio GSM, internationally renowned for its expertise in experience design, teamed up with artist Justine Emard, whose work is exhibited around the world. Their respective approaches to immersive creation met the objectives of COFREX (Compagnie Française des Expositions), in charge of organizing the French Pavilion at the World Expo: to create a sensory experience to promote French creation and excellence in Japan during this major event. Together, GSM and Justine Emard co-created the overall narrative of the exhibition and the paintings that make it up, with the contribution of COFREX and the Pavilion's partners. They established the artistic and scenographic principles of the experience around the common thread of pulsation. GSM is also responsible for the Pavillon's visual identity, including the logo, signage, artistic direction of the exhibition, and the attire of the hosts and hostesses. “This experience is the result of an ambitious co-creation process with all the project partners. GSM Project est une agence québécoise qui conçoit des expositions en créant des expériences qui émeuvent, sensibilisent, déstabilisent. Après quelques années à Montréal chez GSM, en complément des antennes de Singapour et Dubaï, Fabien Lasserre, architecte, monte l'antenne de GSM à Paris en 2018. Récemment Laure Cheung a rejoint Fabien à la tête de l'agence. Nous connaissons déjà Laure qui était venue témoigner dans le numéro S2#66, dans un autre cadre. Dans ce nouveau numéro de Com d'Archi, Fabien Lasserre nous raconte son parcours. Laure nous raconte sa trajectoire depuis le numéro S2#66. Like the teaser photo we chose to illustrate this issue, our European Education (cf Romain Gary in the strict sense), is a daring edifice which, so far, has resisted time. It is extremely fragile and yet. Do we really realize how lucky we are to have benefited from this heritage? Day after day in 2023 in France, violence, absurdity, degree 0 of culture, greed, and thirst for power as much as for destruction, punctuate our daily life. What counts is the selfie! And yet, pass through these stupid times of multiple ways full of enthusiasm, as that to rehabilitate our heritages! Because there are no backward-looking people against ideologists! Réhabiliter, rénover le patrimoine, dans la durabilité et pour décarboner résume le thème de ce numéro de Com d'Archi traité en 10 minutes ! Des notions essentielles pour un sujet sans limite ! A l'image de la photo du teaser que nous avons choisie pour illustrer ce numéro, notre Education Européenne (cf Romain Gary au sens strict), est un édifice audacieux lequel, jusqu'ici, a résisté au temps. Il ne tient plus qu'à un fil et pourtant. Réalise-t-on vraiment la chance que nous avons d'avoir bénéficié de cet héritage? Jour après jour en 2023 en France, violence, absurdité, degré 0 de culture, cupidité, et assoiffés de pouvoir autant que de destructions, rythment notre quotidien. Ce qui compte c'est le selfie ! Et pourtant, passent au travers de ces temps imbéciles de multiples voies pleines d'élans, comme celle de réhabiliter nos patrimoines ! Car il n'y a pas des passéistes contre des idéologues ! Ils viennent du milieu de l'immobilier et du marketing. Pourtant, aujourd'hui, ils oeuvrent tous les jours dans une déclinaison de métiers à partir de l'architecture. L'un de leurs clients emblématiques est Arcelor Mittal. Pour Sowen et alors que l'épisode Covid s'éloigne, les lieux physiques jouent un rôle social fondamental grâce au partage d'expérience, à une vision sociale et positive. Le sujet est bien de réconcilier l'humain avec le bureau, l'hôtel, le retail et parfois ces programmes s'imbriquent et se fondent. Leur culture de l'entreprise est pour eux une force bien réelle et singulière. Pierre-Alexandre Pillet a créé Sowen en 2017 avec son épouse Géraldine. En 2021, Muriel Houël est venue les rejoindre.
