Welcome to Country Proud Living: Nurturing Home, Empowered Self!
I’m your host, LoriLynn, and today we’re talking about how to create a cozy, festive atmosphere in your home this December without the stress or overwhelm.
Whether you’re hosting family, enjoying quiet nights in, or somewhere in between, this episode is packed with simple, practical ideas to help you design a space that feels warm, welcoming, and truly ‘you'!
If you follow these 5 simple tips it will keep your holidays stress free at least for decorating, the rest of the holidays my previous episodes can help with dealing with family and boundaries and other topics that tend to come up this time of year whether we are ready or not! ; )

  1. Keep It Simple:
    • Focus on a few key areas to decorate, like a fireplace mantel, entryway, or dining table, to avoid overwhelm.
    • I emphasize quality over quantity—simple greenery, candles, and lights can go a long way.
  2. Incorporate Nature:
    • Using natural elements like pinecones, evergreen sprigs, or dried oranges for a rustic, create an elevated and timeless look, while being economical too!
    • Natural touches not only look beautiful but also connect us to the outdoors, a grounding element during a busy season.
  3. Layer Textures for Warmth:
    • I encourage you to add throw blankets, knitted pillows, or a faux fur rug to create a cozy and inviting feel.
    • Using rich, seasonal colors like deep greens, reds, and metallics for accent pieces.
  4. Make It Personal:
    • Incorporate family heirlooms, handmade ornaments, or items with sentimental value to make your heart warm.
    • Meaningful decor can spark joy and connection during the holidays.
  5. Design Around Functionality:
    • Arranging furniture to accommodate holida
