About Kalyn:
Kalyn Fahie is a survivor of domestic violence and sexual assault and an advocate who works to end domestic and sexual violence. She founded the nonprofit organization Sisters Acquiring Financial Empowerment (SAFE) in April 2006. Kalyn has worked for IDVACC, The Institute on Domestic Violence in the African American Community, and the Virgin Islands Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Coalition.
Kalyn is a sought-after national speaker at local, state, and national conferences. She was featured in an article on domestic violence written by the White House in Essence Magazine and has received multiple honors and awards, including the 2009 National Network to End Domestic Violence’s “Spirit of Advocacy Award.”
Kalyn currently serves as a Training and Technical Assistance Manager for Ujima Inc., The National Center on Violence Against Women in the Black Community. In addition to her advocacy work, Kalyn offers coaching services that focus on personal empowerment, healing, and legacy-building. She is also the creator of the Dreams and Visions Workbook: Plan, Reflect, Take Action with Faith and Purpose, a faith-based guide that helps women set meaningful goals, reflect deeply, and move forward with purpose.
She is currently writing her memoir, which is scheduled for release in 2026.
