In this episode of Creating CoPOWERment® Radio, host Lani Kwon talks with Yoga Instructor David Sanders, who teaches at the Still & Moving Center among other locations in Honolulu, Hawaii. David began his personal yoga practice almost 40 years ago in 1976, studying at a variety of locations in Los Angeles, including Billy Porter’s Urban Yoga Workout and Yoga Works, Santa Monica. David deepened his practice at Kalani resort on the Big Island, graduating from their Yoga Teacher Training in April of 2002. David taught at Kalani for six years at regular classes and at men’s yoga retreats. While at Kalani, he had the opportunity to study with visiting teachers, including Shiva Rea, Lynne Minton, Saul David Raye and Duncan Wong. He is also CorePower® trained yogi and co-created a donation-based practice near Waikiki's Barefoot Beach Café on Saturdays at 5:30-7:30 p.m. Proceeds benefit Lima Kokua's local non-profit organizations and David mentors and encourages other up-and-coming yoga teachers.
