So you think fasteners are boring? Maybe to some, but that may be because their importance is not recognized clearly. Everything matters in life, business, work, and construction, from the small details to the big. Fastener elements (screws, nuts, bolts, rivets, etc., etc.) hold together buildings, building components, and keep things secure. Often the last thing to be thought of and purchased, fastening devices need to be considered throughout the design process, and specified as early as is practical in the engineering, procurement, fabrication and construction process.
Welcome to Creating Structure Podcast No. 41 with David Raskoskie. David is more than an "account representative." David is a value-adder, strategic partner, relationship builder, problem solver, and understands how to help client support their needs for bolts, screws, fasteners of all types. David's primary focus is on curtain wall and cladding systems of all types, particularly aluminum and glass or other infill components.
We "go to school" for a bit on connecting devices, relationship selling, cold calls, fastener history, hydrogen embrittlement, product development and more.
Enjoy the show!
