Pie Corbett is an English educational trainer, author and poet who has written more than 200 books. He is best known for 'Jumpstart Grammar' and 'Talk for Writing'.

In today's episode we discuss the importance of igniting the spark in our children and that curiosity should be nurtured.

He argues that knowledge without values can be a dangerous thing and that creativity is an antidote. Pie understands we need the creative arts but we can also be creative thinkers across the curriculum and he is clear that imagination is central to creativity which enables a joyful life.

KS2 poem created by children from Oakridge Parochial Primary School - with grateful thanks to all who contributed.
