Domenick "Nick" Rafter is a native of the New York City borough of Queens. He graduated from Hofstra University with a degree in political science. While in college, he served as program director of his college radio station and embarked in a long career in television and print journalism. After achieving his dream of being editor in chief of a newspaper, Nick left the industry for real estate, where he sells and rents homes and apartments in Brooklyn and Queens. Toward the end of his career in journalism, he began embarking on a spiritual journey through Reiki healing and meditation. In his spare time, Nick writes about politics. culture and other topics at his blog and works as a freelancer for-hire copywriter.
