What if you could train your brain to stop working against you and actually start working for you?

Sounds almost too good to be true, right? But that’s exactly what Craig Meriwether did. After struggling with depression and anxiety from his teenage years well into adulthood, Craig finally got hit with a diagnosis that made everything click - bipolar II. At age 50. It wasn’t the answer he wanted, but it was the start of figuring out how to reclaim his life.

In this episode, Craig and I dig into what it’s like to live with mental health challenges that feel relentless - like trudging through thick mud day after day. He shares the turning point when he discovered hypnotherapy and NLP techniques that finally gave him some control over his thoughts and his nervous system. It was a game-changer - and now he’s on a mission to help others do the same through his practice at Arizona Integrative Hypnotherapy.

We also get into why hypnotherapy isn’t just some woo-woo quick fix, but a powerful tool for anyone dealing with fear, anxiety, low confidence, or just needing a mental reset. Whether it’s tackling test anxiety, preparing for a big presentation, or just not letting your brain sabotage you, Craig’s got practical tips and real talk on how to make your mind your ally.

And, because life is weird, we also talk about that one time he played Persian folk music at a carpet store - in front of Metallica’s lead singer. (Yeah, I’m still processing that one too.)

Tune in for a raw, honest, and surprisingly hopeful conversation about rewriting the script on mental health - and learning to master your mind.
