Sabrina Carpenter Sets Album Release Date
Sabrina Carpenter has confirmed that her next album, Man’s Best Friend, drops August 29th. It follows her hit 2024 release Short and Sweet. The lead single “Manchild” arrived June 6th.
Beach Boys Legend Brian Wilson Dies at 82
Brian Wilson, co-founder and creative genius behind The Beach Boys, has died at 82. A pioneer of the “California sound,” Wilson leaves behind a catalog that forever shaped pop music, including Pet Sounds, “California Girls,” and “Good Vibrations.”
BTS Anniversary & Break-In Drama
Just hours after completing his military service, BTS’s Jungkook faced a break-in attempt. A woman in her 30s was arrested after repeatedly entering his home keypad code. Grammys Split Country Album Category
The Recording Academy is splitting its Best Country Album category. Starting in 2026, there will be two awards:
• Best Contemporary Country Album
• Best Traditional Country Album
Nominees for the 68th Grammys will be announced November 7th.
Bonnaroo to Stream Exclusively on Hulu

Hozier Reschedules After Onstage Illness
Hozier has postponed two tour stops after struggling through his June 8th Governors Ball set. The June 10th and 12th shows will now happen July 15th and 22nd. He says he’ll be back in time for Bonnaroo.
Suede Share New Single, Announce Orchestral Show
Suede have released “Trance State,” the second single from upcoming album Antidepressants (out September 5th). They’ve also announced a four-night residency at London’s Southbank Centre, including their first-ever orchestral headline show.
Stormzy Launches Merky Films
Stormzy has launched Merky Films. Its first project, Big Man, stars Stormzy as a retired rapper and is directed by Oscar-winner Aneil Karia. It premieres June 18th on YouTube.
