Pat Tillman is an American Hero. Rising from humble roots in California, to becoming a star athlete at Arizona State and eventually being drafted to the Arizona Cardinals in the National Football League— Pat seemingly had it all. But the events of September 11th, 2001 and the ensuing war on terror made him realize how little football meant to the world.

Soon after the Towers fell, Pat Tillman turned down two NFL contracts totaling over 12 million dollars to join the US military until becoming increasingly against the war before his untimely death and before the US government controlled his legacy. Today we separate the real Pat Tillman from the one you think you know. That’s TODAY on Death in Entertainment.
