So before I go on the road over the next few days to perform a wedding I thought that I would leave you with something of importance. And but I say it is important because I just learned of it, and I thought to myself, self…why did I ever stay away so long from the book of Revelation considering the following scripture? Then I had a aha moment and thought that few churchy churches actually teach on the book of revelation and the reason in my opinion is similar to the very same reason I had for staying away from it which is that I did not understand what it was saying. Ha, I did read it more than 50x’s in my years of studying it, but I never sought to figure out what it was saying. I do then also remember saying to myself, self why these things are aways off and I will be dead when they begin to happen.
So anyway, keep in mind that the book of Revelation was scribed by John but given by Jesus. Also keep in mind that this is the only book that has such an opening. And considering that we are living in the very days of the book of revelations, would should maybe, like me, make some adjustments into what it is that we are doing in these very last days. Don’t be afraid to read the book. Gordon Lindsay, William Branham, and a few others have some really great things to teach about this book:
Rev 1:1-5 - 1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants—things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John, 2 who bore witness to the word of God, and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, to all things that he saw. 3 Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.
4 John, to the seven churches which are in Asia:
Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne, 5 and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth.
