As an entertainer for many years, her repertoire includes dancing, modeling, and singing. JUANITA has appeared in several music showcases, fashion shows, events, music videos, magazines, and was a finalist in the Miss Black World New York State Modeling and Beauty Pageant. JUANITA has performed her original music, as well as covers across the US and abroad and refers to her musical style as Sophisticated S-O-U-L, a fusion of R&B, Soul, and Jazz. JUANITA was one of the main forces behind developing a successful outreach initiative, AACT-NOW! and she facilitated a support group for a few years. JUANITA has worked with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) and helped coordinate Out of the Darkness Community Walks to raise funds for advocacy, education, and research for suicide prevention.
