In this episode, Sarah chats with Nate, the owner and lead photographer of J&N Studios. Recently, Sarah Kolis and Nate worked at a wedding where Sarah was the day-of bridal stylist, and Nate was photographing the special day.
Nate shares that weddings are a labor of love and hard work that take a village to put on, such as photographers, day-of-coordinators, stylists, and so much more!
We chat about how he captures the best pictures for the couples he is working with, how he found his unique photography style, where couples can put their money to have the most impact on their photos, and how to pair logistics with experience, feeling and mood for an incredible wedding day!
Nate is the owner and lead photographer of J&N Studios. He has the distinct privilege of photographing the greatest moments of his Detroit couples’ lives for over 15 years!
He has a background in architecture and interior design by education, but he intentionally chose photography to meld his love of people, art, architecture, travel and experiences that have touched his life. Having both the technical & artistic expertise of lighting & composition, he uses that knowledge to highlight the unique style, feeling & authentic moments that are all part of a wedding day celebration. He currently resides in the Ann Arbor area with his loving wife & two children.
