This week on Eavesdroppin', Geordie & Michelle look at some really bad habits...

Would you eat a live cat? Tarrare did. And if you don't know who Tarrare is, he was only the grossest man alive in France in the 1700s. With an insatiable appetite and a stench that lingered, Tarrare was an unpleasant anomaly whose legend lives on. More than that, he had stretchy mouth that could fit a dozen eggs in it, he ate live cats and maybe even nibbled dead people. Geordie takes a deep dive into this human house of horrors...

Michelle follows with a look at some strange eating habits starting with Lisa the crazy cat lady. Not only does she love cats, but she also loves licking them - and eating their fur. Listen now to find out if Lisa gets furballs... Michelle also looks at three ladies in the UK who love to munch on sponges, and a pair of twins who respectively enjoy eating candles and old books. Listen to their stories and Michelle's hot takes on pica...

So pop on your headphones, grab a brown lemonade and join Geordie & Michelle for this week’s episode, plus a voice note from Janika from Amsterdam, chit-chat about cardigans, The British Podcast Awards and more, only on Eavesdroppin’ podcast. And remember, wherever you are, whatever you do, just keep Eavesdroppin’!
