That’s the mindset too many leaders have. They think they’ve got all the answers, but here’s the truth: you don’t.
When challenges pop up, a lot of leaders turn to their exec team for solutions.
But what they don’t do is ask their people. Whether it's the janitor or the VP, it doesn't matter.
Go to your team.
Why? Because if they’re in their area of genius, they’ve got insights you might not even see.
Sit down with them and say: "Here’s the challenge. What do you recommend?"
By asking questions, you're giving them power and authority. You're saying, "I trust you."
And guess what happens?
They come up with genius ideas—solutions you’d never have thought of! 💡
That’s how you build trust. That’s how you build a team that’s not just following orders, but owning the outcome.
Remember, people respect authority, but they trust transparency.
So next time you’re stuck on a problem, set aside the ego.
