The purpose of this podcast is to share with educators methods in alignment with the National Educational Technology standards to develop skills identified for 21st century learning, this skills include critical thinking, communication, collaboration and creativity and innovation. One of the methods to develop these skills in the classroom is through a project based learning model. This first podcast I discuss the background to PBL, research support and examples of PBL. I also mentioned that I was to include a podcast from Edutopia, but it was not available in ITUNES at this time, the video is accessible through this link. The rest of the podcasts in this series would update listeners on other stages and tools available to increase critical thinking, communication, collaboration and creativity.
