Sylvia began exploring the world outside Brazil when she decided to get her master's degree in psychology in Australia. A whole new adventure welcomed her, and there, she met her also Brazilian husband-to-be.

After years of living in Australia, they decided to go back to Brazil because of homesickness.

Afterward, Sylvia got married, and they both agreed on building their life outside of Brazil. Still, the process of leaving didn't go easy on them.

After years of processing their visas on their own, along with Sylvia, bearing their first child, Sylvia and her partner got granted a permanent residency in Canada.

With their newborn, just less than a month old, Sylvia and her husband were able to leave Brazil and finally start a new life in Toronto.
