Elaine McFarlane has had a long-standing career with Shell Global Solutions, with her current role as Fuels Scientist spanning over 12 years.

As a member of the Energy Institute (EI) and a member of the Royal Society of Biology (RSB), she Chairs the Energy Institute’s Aviation Miscellaneous Test Methods Panel, and she was former Chair the Energy Institute Microbiology Committee.

In addition to being a Chartered Environmentalist, she is also a Chartered Scientist, Chartered Biologist, and STEM Ambassador.
