Do you ever overreact to seemingly small things? Or how about under-reacting and struggling to speak up for yourself and communicate your needs? The other day my partner walked in on me in the shower and I instantly got angry and felt rage bubbling up! In this episode, I unpack how memories from our childhood are stored in our body and unconscious mind and how our emotional triggers are usually not what they appear to be.

I get vulnerable with you and share the truth behind the unexpected anger I felt in this moment, what was behind it and how I was able to release and let it go quickly. We dive deep into boundaries, the subtle signs that may tell us our boundaries have been violated and how we can regulate our emotions and restore connection in our relationships.

We explore how the people closest to us tend to be the ones who trigger the most intense emotions, and how seemingly innocuous phrases like "I'm fine" block us from being vulnerable, open and honest with ourselves and others.

The path towards emotional self-mastery lies in learning to express our needs, find the delicate balance between our own expectations and those of others, and establish healthy boundaries. This story sharing invites you to harness the courage to face your emotions head-on, break free from self-sabotaging patterns, and embrace the transformative power of emotional self-mastery for lasting inner peace, depth in love and generational change.

Ever feel like you’re constantly pushing forward but never quite feeling at ease? In this episode, Violetta dives deep into the topic of stress—not as a badge of honor, but as a sign we might be out of alignment with what truly matters. She kicks things off by exploring how stress shows up in our lives: racing thoughts, tightness in the body, and a tendency to overcommit. It’s not who we are, but a symptom of something deeper. Jessica Bowser joins the conversation, sharing her journey of navigating burnout in both academia and the corporate world. As someone who always felt the need to "work twice as hard" due to internalized pressures and her biracial identity, Jessica talks openly about how this belief led her down the path of exhaustion. Together, they dig into: Reframing Stress: Seeing stress as a signal to check in with yourself, not a mark of ambition. Breaking Free from Limiting Beliefs: Jessica’s insights on letting go of the pressure to be perfect and why that’s been key to her healing. Finding Ease in the Process: The importance of slowing down, taking a breath, and making space for what feels true. Have you ever wondered why you feel more energized during certain weeks and completely drained during others? In this episode, Violetta Znorkowski is joined by Renea Fieck, an occupational therapist and breathwork facilitator, as they dive into the importance of aligning with the natural rhythms of the female menstrual cycle. Renea shares her expertise on the four phases of the menstrual cycle, explaining how hormonal shifts influence everything from your mood to your productivity. She opens up about the common misconception that pushing through discomfort shows strength and how she, too, believed this for many years. However, she now embraces a more sustainable approach that honors her body’s needs during each phase. Throughout the conversation, Renea highlights the "masculine" energy of the first half of the cycle, where women tend to feel more driven and ambitious, compared to the "feminine" energy of the second half, where rest and reflection take priority. She offers practical tips for making small, yet impactful changes—such as scheduling downtime or adjusting workouts—that can help you sync with your cycle. This episode also touches on the societal conditioning that often leads women to feel ashamed of their periods or try to hide their natural rhythms. Renea's journey of overcoming this internalized oppression is inspiring, encouraging listeners to reconnect with their bodies and embrace the power of their cycles. Renea and Violetta also discuss the importance of community and flexibility on this journey, emphasizing that every woman’s experience is unique and that adaptability is key. Key Takeaways: Understand the four phases of the menstrual cycle and how they affect your energy and emotions. Learn how to make small lifestyle changes to better align with your body’s natural rhythms. Break free from societal conditioning and embrace your cyclical nature. This episode is a must-listen for any woman looking to live in harmony with her body and unlock her full potential. Have you ever questioned why you hold back your true voice, or felt disconnected from your own identity through the way you speak? In this episode, Violetta chats with Tracy Goodwin, an expert in the psychology of voice, as they dive into the powerful connection between voice, identity, and past experiences. Tracy opens up about her childhood, where the phrase 'children should be seen and not heard' was common, shaping her relationship with her voice and creating a struggle to feel worthy of speaking up. Through her journey as an actor and voice coach, she eventually learned to embrace her authentic voice, and now helps others do the same. The conversation sheds light on how we build ‘walls’ around our voices, using masks like people-pleasing and fear of judgment to hide our true selves. Tracy highlights how true connection comes not just from the words we say, but from the tone, presence, and authenticity behind them. They also tackle how women, in particular, face unique challenges with their voices in professional settings, often feeling the need to be 'nice' and avoid conflict. This can lead to their contributions being undervalued, despite saying the same things as their male counterparts. Tracy’s message is clear: reclaiming your voice starts with self-worth and vulnerability. It’s about showing up authentically, without seeking external validation, and embracing the power of presence. This episode invites you to explore how your voice reflects your inner world and encourages you to step into your true, authentic self. Episode Timestamps: 00:05:19-00:09:15 – Tracy shares her journey from growing up silenced to embracing her voice coaching purpose. 00:11:16-00:15:08 – Tracy explains how she helps others strip away layers of protective masks to reveal their true voice, using an analogy of refinishing furniture. 00:19:12-00:21:47 – Discussion on how we communicate from wounds and fears, rather than empowerment, and the impact of subconscious blocks. 00:25:21-00:27:52 – Tracy explains the role of control and fear of judgment in shaping communication, particularly for women in professional settings. 00:34:04-00:38:17 – Tracy expands on societal expectations for women's voices, discussing how women often struggle to be heard or valued. 00:43:54-00:46:45 – Tracy shares her process for helping people identify and shed layers to reclaim their authentic voice. 00:50:38-00:53:07 – Tracy addresses challenges women face in finding their authentic voice and overcoming the pressure to be "nice." 01:01:22-01:04:40 – Tracy discusses the costs of silencing women's voices and how societal standards have influenced perceptions of how women should speak. 01:06:43-01:09:24 – Final reflections on embracing authenticity, reframing judgment, and the courage it takes to reclaim one's true voice. How does your ego show up in your life and how does it affect the professional and relational decisions you make? This week, Violetta speaks with Sonja Williams, employee turned entrepreneur with a life-first approach to business, about the daily practices and rituals that have helped her redefine what's truly important to her and awaken the courage to pivot her career by following her intuition and betting on herself. Sonja shares her experience with meditation before it was a widely known and accepted practice, Tony Robbins events, gratitude, her annual practice of intentional self-discipline and the mindset that helped her to break free from expectations and societal labels and redefine success for herself and for her family (even when most people didn’t understand it at first). We also unpack: What qualities to look for in a life partner so that you can grow together with a shared life vision instead of growing apart How to build real courage and confidence that allows you to change your mind, try new things and reinvent yourself The role self-reflection and meditation plays in understanding your personal beliefs and values and the impact they have on your decisions, self-perception and emotional state The power of creating a supportive circle and network around you and the truth of what this looks like What self-trust actually looks and feels like and how to truly cultivate an unshakeable self-trust and confidence within yourself that can't be taken away from you when external circumstances change…. Have you ever found yourself stuck in the cycle of procrastination and perfectionism, wondering if there's a way out? In today’s episode, guest Dr. Christine Li, a renowned clinical psychologist and procrastination coach and host Violetta unpack the nuances of procrastination and how you overcome and thrive. Dr. Li takes us through her unique coaching process that combines mindset, time, and emotion management to help combat underperformance, and shares her journey of the past decade helping people break free from procrastination's grip. We plunge into our shared human experience of procrastination, probing its deep-rooted connections with identity, ambition, and perfectionism. Together, we examine the paradox of how ambition and procrastination can coexist, and the critical role of self-reflection and self-care in our personal and professional journeys. Furthermore, we delve into the often intertwined nature of procrastination and perfectionism, acknowledging that while it can hinder us, it can also be harnessed as a powerful motivator to improve and grow. In this thoughtful discussion, Dr. Li emphasizes the power of mindset and highlights strategies for compartmentalizing focus and avoiding overwhelm. We also explore the importance of rest and self-forgiveness in the face of guilt often associated with procrastination. To wrap up, we focus on taking mindful action to create lasting change and inspire others through our own experiences of overcoming procrastination and perfectionism. STAY CONNECTED WITH DR. After countless requests, I’ve finally recorded the talk I gave at a women’s event some time ago. I’ve had to make some adaptations because there were visuals I used alongside the talk. Sit back and prepare yourself to reflect and receive as I share what happens when we morph into the leader and type of person we think we need to be to succeed in our field of work. I worked as a leader, educator and guide in a male-dominated industry for almost 10 years, the place I both lost and found myself simultaneously. Being authentic and breaking societal norms and familial expectations isn’t as easy as it sounds. Listen in and hear about some of the real blocks that get in the way of true, aligned success and wellbeing, especially as ambitious female leaders. Thank you for being here and joining me on a mission to close the gender gap from the inside out! By tuning into this episode, you’re take massive action towards creating a successful life that is an authentic expression of you all the while impacting generational change. THANK YOU.
