Bert van de Wijdeven’s primary focus has been on preventing work-related musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) and supporting individuals in their successful return to work. With his extensive background in training individuals from various occupations, including cleaners, order pickers, masons, and cashiers, Bert’s research has the potential to shape the way we approach work-related MSD prevention and create a positive impact on the lives of workers across various industries.

Bert van de Wijdeven is an experienced professional with 35+ years of training individuals in various occupations to prevent work-related musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) and support their return to work. Currently pursuing a Ph.D. at Amsterdam UMC, he is focused on developing a revolutionary framework for preventing work-related MSDs. With guidance from supervisors Bart Visser and Paul Kuijer, Bert's work has the potential to shape occupational health practices and positively impact workers' lives.
