On this episode, I hop on a call with our special guest Alex Raymond RD, LD, CEDS-S to discuss the topic of Eating Disorders.
In this conversation, Alex Raymond, an eating disorder dietitian, discusses her journey of becoming a specialist in eating disorders. She explains the common signs and symptoms of anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, avoidant restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID), and more. Alex also talks about the causes of eating disorders, including genetics, culture, and relationships. Not only do Alex and I discuss various aspects of eating disorder recovery and challenge common myths and stigmas associated with eating disorders, but we also discuss the definition and signs of relapse, strategies for managing triggers, and the impact of social media on eating disorder perceptions.
