In the late 90s, Gary Holz entered a remote Indigenous community in the Australian outback, facing a life-altering diagnosis of multiple sclerosis that had left him nearly paralysed from the neck down. After nearly a decade of battling the disease and being given just two years to live by doctors, he had exhausted every Western medical treatment available. In a surprising turn of fate, he found himself drawn to the healing practices of a small Indigenous community in Australia. Despite the scepticism of friends and family and the doubts that clouded his scientifically trained mind, Gary experienced a remarkable transformation. Ten days after arriving in a wheelchair, he boarded his flight home walking—a changed man.

Following this profound healing, Gary was urged by his Indigenous teachers to share the wisdom he had gained. Alongside his wife, Robbie Holz, he co-authored the powerful book "The Secrets of Aboriginal Healing." This concise yet impactful work sheds light on what modern science reveals about the interconnectedness of body, mind, and spirit in the healing process. It offers insights from over 60,000 years of knowledge passed down by Indigenous healers, showcasing its potential to reshape the Western understanding of disease.

In this episode, I sit down with Robbie Holz to discuss her late husband's incredible journey, their collaborative work, and the remarkable capacity we all possess to heal ourselves and connect with a greater field of awareness.
