Finance for hippies invites the lovely Thembakazi Matroshe, Head curator and executive director at Gallery Fanon, to the studio to discuss the current state-of-the-art affairs in South Africa as she sees it. We go into the issue of becoming an art collector with a limited or small budget. Thembi gives advice to young and upcoming artists on how to work, effectively function and market themselves in the art industry. She advises the listener her role in the art industry as a curator, which is somewhat regarded as a gatekeeper role. We discuss her passions for art and food and how she has combined them to form "The Art of Dining" We cover some of the challenges she's encountered working in the industry and how she has balanced her career as an influencer with the art world.
