It started with a missing person report — a 19-year-old woman last seen getting into a red Ford truck near Oklahoma City. Just two weeks later, the horror truly began.

In October 2011, the dismembered remains of Carina Saunders were discovered stuffed inside a duffel bag behind a grocery store in Oklahoma City. What followed was a tangled web of suspects, rumors of drug cartels and sex trafficking, and a case that spiraled into chaos, confusion, and controversy. Arrests were made, then dropped. Witnesses vanished, and leads went cold.

More than a decade later, the question still remains: who killed Carina Saunders — and why?

In this week’s episode of Find My Killer, I revisit the chilling timeline and examine the lengthy investigation. Was this a random act of brutality, or was she silenced to send a message?

If you have any information regarding the unsolved murder of Carina Saunders, please contact the OSBI at 1-800-522-8017.
