In this episode, Pastor Nikki and Wayne look at the "Big 6" scripture verses that are generally used to condemn same-sex relationships and how we might come to these verses with different eyes and understanding. The verses are examined and discussed in relation to their historical & cultural context, as well as how we can interpret them in light of the grand narrative of Scripture which seems to move toward greater inclusion. This episode also looks at the power of the language we use around this topic and how more humanizing and respectful language can really help set the tone for positive conversations around LGBTQ+ persons and the church.
