Fausto: Straight Outta Miami! 40 Years of Punk and More!

Fausto Figueredo's musical odyssey began in the late 80s, drumming for hardcore band Violent Deed (w/ Daniel Gorostiaga & Scott Baldwin) and playing the iconic Cameo Theater at just 16 years old with Genetic Mistake (w/ Juan Montoya). Throughout the 90s, he played in Fruitfly and Jobbernowl (w/ George Van Orsdel), his first band with physical output.

Fausto's most notable endeavor was as a member of Load, one of Florida's most notorious and beloved bands. After Load, Fausto continued to explore various musical projects, including Middle Finger Mob (ex-Load), UFC (Under Fascist Control w/ Danny Pukes), Tongues of the Heartworm (members of Postface), Flees, Good Shepherd (w/ Matt Roles), Beat Obsolete (w/ Joe Koontz), Shark Valley Sisters (w/ Rob Elba), John Denver Fight Club (w/ Tim Moffit), and Mutiny Act.

In this episode, Fausto shares his memories of growing up in Miami, musical influences, memorable gigs and venues, brotherhood with Juan Montoya, touring Florida and other parts of the U.S., having the opportunity to play Colombia with Flees, the Dan Hosker Music Continuum, and his relationship with, Rob Elba. He also surprises us with his favorite band that he's played in and tons more!
