Abdul talks about being a basketball referee, what it takes, what it means and how you do it.

My favourite quote of the episode is "One thing from memory, I can remember, which has helped me in life as well. What I used to do, I didn't think about it, but when they explained it to me, I would subconsciously, depending on who my co-official was, I would, if they were less experienced, I'd actually drop my standard to kind of match theirs rather than staying where I was and making them, I guess, come up to my level. Which helped me as well in life rather than, so kind of keeping myself where I need to be rather than lowering. So when I refereed with people that were higher than me, I would actually step up my game to match theirs. And that's helped me in life and work in that where I, I try to stay true to myself rather than switching to someone else's standards."
