How to Go Beyond 'Woe is Me'- Sylvia's Powerful Shift to Self-Ownership | Episode 308
Manage episode 473015555 series 2763143
Regardless of how long I have been working with clients as a boundaries coach, I am still amazed by the mind-blowing revelations my clients have as a result of working with me. Today, I am sharing one of these profound experiences by sharing a story from “Sylvia,” one of my clients who confidently took back ownership of her life. This week’s episode 308 of the Fragmented to Whole Podcast is about how to go beyond ‘woe is me’- Sylvia’s powerful shift to self-ownership.
In this episode of the Fragmented to Whole Podcast, I’m sharing a story from a client call where, with the help of boundaries coaching, “Sylvia” was able to overcome years of trauma, workplace challenges, and personal struggles to emerge stronger and more confident.
Some key takeaways I go over in this episode include:
- You have the right to set boundaries because you get to live your life the way YOU want.
- You don’t have to engage with people who have hurt you.
- You don’t need to explain yourself to everyone.
- You own your narrative; other people don’t get to tell you who you are or were.
- Give yourself grace, treating yourself as you would a beloved friend.
Sylvia's story is a powerful reminder that we all have the ability to change our narratives and reclaim our power– and that's something we can all learn from.
Be sure to tune in to all the episodes to receive tons of practical tips on living a more whole life and to hear even more about the points outlined above.
