Lott and St Andrew's UMC are teaming up to recycle styrofoam into usable material. Lott Industries will recycle #6 styrofoam, the kind you find when you buy electronics usually, and the Church of St. Andrew's UMC on Heatherdowns have decided to get involved. The church now has a drop-off bin on church property which they regularly empty and deliver to Lott Industries for recycling.
The recycled material can be turned into park benches and other useful items. This effort is keeping thousands of tons of this material out of our landfills.
