The new thing God did on earth was to give His One and Only Son to be the propitiation for our sins (1 John 2:2). The result of God’s new thing is the salvation of the believer, but that salvation includes but not limited to: never needing to fear the storms of life because Jesus is the first and last; never needing to fear in life, because Jesus lives forevermore; and never needing to fear death because Jesus holds ownership of the keys to death and the grave.
