In season 9, episode 3, Welcome to Olsenville, Harriet comes across some bearer bonds while cleaning Lars Hanson’s house- I guess we are ignoring the fact that this was the blind school and it had completely burned to the ground. The bonds put the people of Walnut Grove in her debt, and Harriet uses this to her advantage. When she puts Nels up to run for mayor, Almonzo decides to run against him. It goes as you’d suspect. We meet some older randos waiting for death, including the dude from the American Gothic painting.
