When Brooke lost her job as a pharmaceutical rep, she convinced her husband that they could change their lives and live in a tropical setting. In 1999, they left Canada and spent 5 months searching the Pacific coast for our new home. They found it in Huatulco Oaxaca, where they built a 6-guestroom B&B. They sold it after 20 years and moved to Merida for health reasons. In Merida, they completed a major mid-century home renovation and are retired.
