This week, Peter and Leslie continue their series, “Rebuilding Discipleship in the Catholic Parish.” The call to discipleship is relatively new in the Catholic milieu. The Doanes introduced what they refer to as the seven pillars of Catholic discipleship. The fourth pillar is “Receive the Sacraments of Confession and Eucharist.” Recent national surveys have given some dire statistics on these two Sacraments and the place they take in the lives of the Faithful. This week, the Doanes offer the wisdom of the saints and the truth of sanctifying grace that will inspire us to see anew the gifts of these two Sacraments! Let's rebuild our understanding of these two gifts to help us become Catholic disciples!
